Day 11 Got to Cambridge Bay

As Jack said AMAZING COUNTRY WE LIVE IN
( hope this post all comes thru)

He had a great overnight stay in Kugluktuk. Can't you just imagine Jack sharing stories with Larry.... as Jack said, the only other piston plane & pilot he has seen this far up north... And I thought they just had wings :) Jack was saying Larry has a "cabin" 100 miles away with grizzly fencing around the whole thing..... Gives recreational living a whole new meaning!!!

So today the only spot marker I got was in the middle of the Arctic Ocean ( see map) on his way to Cambridge. Needless to say I got a bit excited, but about 2 hours later I get a text from Jack...Phew!!! I was waiting for the flight services call. So there is no consistency with what works when and where, sometimes text only, sometimes phone works but so far have not had to use the sat phone.
Jack flew over Victoria Island looking for Muskox, did not see any but did see the DEW line markers. He is having a grand time!!
I hope the picture of how Jack has to refuel where they do not have aviation fuel, gets on the blog, only jet fuel in these northern stops. He is pumping from barrel into the jerry cans& plane Look at how light and bright the sky is, that was around 7 pm
He is now a fixture with NAV Canada as the guy who is flying a circle around Canada. I sent his trip plans to CBC TV but so far no reply. Really should be worth a good Canadian story, much better than allot of other stuff we see.

Fueling up looks as easy as filling the lawnmower. Why did I even question the plan? Following daily
