Day 4: Masset to Atlin Lake

Here are some (there were quite a few) of the pictures Jack sent me today. He clearly loves to take pictures of the amazing scenery. God's country at its best.
For those of you that know Jack well, you know his love for gadgets. Apparently he was the one of the first kids in the neighbourhood to have one of those little pocket sized transistor radios and the rest is history =)
He is making good use of his little go pro  & regular camera and in a previous post you could see ALL the electronics he took along....can't have too many electronics =)
His biggest challenge will be to keep them all charged up....we are working on that.

This pic near Alert Bay with the go pro

Enroute from Masset  near Prince Rupert

Our Canada!!! Dease Lake to Atlin

Does it get any better...Jeff this selfie is for you !

Near Alaska.
When talking to him tonight he says there is so much space with not a soul there.

A glacier on the way to Atlin

Always time for coffee no matter where he is.

Where he is now. Atlin Lake B.C.
He says it is a beautiful spot.
The hosts of place have been very good to him, he borrowed a bicycle and headed into town.

You just can't keep a good cyclist off a bike.
Jack cycles regularly when he is home, ususally straight to the coffee shop which is what he did here.
Enjoying a mocha at the Atlin Inn

Needless to say he met some interesting folks there.
He notices a fellow loading his older float plane with all kinds of stuff.
He is thinking..... this is not according to NAV Canada regulations..... you know Jack a stickler for regulations!!!=)
So he rides up to him on his borrowed bike and says " Excuse me I am from Nav Canada,  Do you have your weight to flight ( I think that is the lingo??) calculations".
The poor pilot looks up and mutters something. Like what are the chances of NAV Canada being in Atlin Lake !
Jack says no, no  it was just in jest and they carried on into a great conversation.
Thats our Jack =)
Good night all.
